Petty Politics

The worst thing that could happen to a person is to be torn between the logic of the mind and the feelings of his heart. His very soul suffers and progress is no longer possible. Sometimes our feelings cause us to make decisions that make no logical sense at all. Leaving us grasping for ways to justify the decision that compromises our character and integrity.

In Politics, we often disagree with something soley based on which party the politician belongs too that introduced the idea. This is the most dangerous thing we can do to negatively affects the entire democratic process. Sometimes our dislike for a person or party causes our minds to find something wrong with their policy and/or ideas.

Who suffers.

The general public, those who depend on the politically involved to guide them in the right direction and give them insight concerning local government. I suggest that we all step back and look at a situation and judge it by the facts of the matter and not what we feel the motive of the person may be. We must decide whether the issue is good for the public as a whole and not ponder what the guy in office may gain as a result.

Port Arthur is suffering and we need to come together as a city, as a council, as a people......AGAINST ALL ODDS
