FAIL TO PLAN....PLAN TO FAIL (PAISD)

As a member of the first consolidation task force, we examined the condition of every campus, and asked why they were in such sad shape. The District provided us with data that showed in the early 90's nearly $500,000 was spent on building maintenance, but by the mid 90's, the district budgeted... Are you ready? PAISD budgeted $0.00 for building upkeep. Yes...nothing. They knew they had older buildings, which require more critical maintenance and care. They also knew that the equipment and resources needed serious upgrading, yet the chose to not take care of our buildings and classrooms. IMO, PAISD created a situation of "benign neglect"; they simply let things go bad, and took no action to stop it. And now the want to raise taxes for sale ties and building maintenance. To reward underperforming teachers and administrators, and pay to maintain the very building they are obligated to care for. Luke 16:10 (NASB)says it very well; "He who is faithful in a very little thing is faithful also in much; and he who is unrighteous in a very little thing is unrighteous also in much." Given the Districts performance so far , can they truly be trusted?
